How to Generate API Keys (Sub-Account, Virtual)
Guide to generate and link APIs from (Sub-account, Virtual)
Follow the steps below to generate and link APIs from your (Sub-Account, Virtual)
WARNING: updating your API keys or toggling the “shorting functionality” to the OFF/ON position will close all trades and liquidate all bitcoin holdings at market. This might affect the account performance on the short term. AYMBot® will resume normal function as soon as the updated API keys are entered. Only do this when absolutely necessary.
1. Hover over “account management” icon
a) Click on “sub-accounts”
b) Click on “API management” item on the bottom left corner
c) Click on “create API”
d) Select the username of the sub-account you want to create an API for, and name the label (any name will do) then click on next
e) Once the API keys are generated please copy both the API Key and API Secret and paste each into the required field on (www.aymbot.com)
i) After logging into your AYMBot® account, please go into the “account management” section and scroll down to “trade settings”
ii) Click on the “Edit APIs” button
iii) Paste the API key and API secret key into the appropriate fields
iv) Toggle ‘Shorting Functionality’ on
v) Finally click on “confirm” then on “update”
f) Copy AYMBot’s® IP addresses
g) Navigate back to your Binance and edit your newly generated API
i) Tap on “edit”
ii) Check the following permissions:
- Enable reading
- Enable spot and margin trading
- Enable futures
- Permits universal transfer
iii) Tap on “restrict access to trusted IPs only”, and paste the copied IP address to the necessary field and tap on confirm
h) Finally click on save and enter the verification codes!
